Album Covers

I was bored on a Tuesday night after dance so I created some album/song covers for an artist a lot of kids my age are familiar with. I started out with finding an image of mountains (with the right image license) and I applied different exposure and contrast to it. I was inspired by minimalistic looking covers so I created a simple rectangle and put text inside of it. Then I created a new layer with only the mountains so they could overlap it a bit and make the cover look more artistic.

After creating that cover I started on another one, which I had to go into Illustrator with to create a logo. I wanted it to be circular and the focal point, so I created a circle and put a thick stroke and dashed lines on it. I experimented with a new tool using text to make the "G-Eazy" have an upper shell stretch and the "I MEAN IT" to have a shell stretch facing the opposite way. I also inserted a line between the two different parts of text to make it look less empty. Then, I copied the logo in from Illustrator on to Photoshop and messed with the exposure and brightness on the city picture so the logo would stand out enough. It turned out like this.
