Color Wheel

Now that we have concluded our lessons on color, I have realized that I have learned many things. Colors have important meaning when used in advertising AND everyday life. They can have a personal effect on you and how you feel. For example, blue feels more masculine while pink is feminine. Green is the color of nature, so being in a room painted green can be calming.

Another thing I have learned is that colors all have their own origins. For example, the color pink comes from a tint of red. The color blue-green comes from blue and green, with the primary color coming first in the name. Normally people make up names for these mixed colors rather than their original names, like blue-green might be called "aqua" because it resembles the word. Overall, I have enjoyed this assignment and look forward to what is to come.
