"Pushing boundaries proves that you are a thinker and a doer, not just a follower."
Creative anarchy is about pushing the boundaries of traditional design. This article highlighted why design rules matter, and how we can break them to become better, more intelligent designers. Becoming a successful designer means knowing your creative limits and then going beyond them.
In order to prove how important creative anarchy is, we must think of someone who has largely impacted the creative world. Whether it's a fashion designer, a tech leader, or a graphic designer- one thing is clear. These people have stood out because their work has stood out as well. Their ideas are creative and fresh, and bring something new to the table. They have broken the rules of design in order to take over the creative world. This was the author's argument. Guidelines exist for a reason, but the will to push them also exists as well.
A smart designer is aware of when the correct time is to break the rules, and doesn't do it selfishly. Clients are an entirely important piece of the process of creating a project. Researching your client and communicating with them is key to finding the right time and place to tie in something new and revolutionary. It takes time to create something meaningful and important, and even the most spontaneous ideas require a little work.
This article was strong and didn't have many weak points. Many people found the idea that there are no new ideas arguable, but i found their evidence extremely supportive. All design ideas can be traced back to another, and many ideas are synthesized together to create new ones.
